We ate dinner here in February 2025.
Fried goat cheese with honey and hazelnuts
Bruschetta
Chips with Joseph spices and sumac
Fried chicken with gochujang sesame glaze and kewpie mayo
Fried pork bao buns with pickled cucumber and peanut hoisin sauce
Roll your own duck pancakes with cucumber and peanut and hoisin sour cream
Sticky date pudding with spiced ice cream and brandy snap
Fourth time on the bounce, Fat Farmer congratulations you’ve done it again. Another excellent meal. And yes, we didn’t get anything we hadn’t had before (except the chips), but to be fair there weren’t a lot of other options on the menu. There were some changes, reviewing over time certain items had drifted in and out, but this isn’t a menu which changes cataclysmically with the seasons.
We will note that the wait time between the third and fourth wave of food was uncomfortably long, but then again our stomachs probably appreciated a bit of down time. The fried goat cheese, which we were having for a third time, continues to be the best item on the menu, with an honourable mention for the bruschetta. The weakest offering was duck pancakes, which were just a little ho hum compared to the rest.
