Boho Cafe

Rating: 3

We ate lunch here in November 2021.

Creamy mushrooms on ciabatta
Tan square
Savoury muffin

The person who made the food at Boho Cafe loves food. And we love them. Everything was delicious, and Boho Cafe had taken extra steps to make eating there a pleasure.

The mushrooms were exceptional, the addition of caramelised onion really elevated the dish. They had thoughtfully put the mushrooms and sauce in their own bowl so that the toast didn’t get soggy, and unlike literally every other cafe on the planet, their butter wasn’t fresh out of the fridge and rock solid. The savoury muffin was a little unusual as it featured leek, but was soft, fluffy, and fresh, and had just the right amount of salty feta on top. The caramel to base ratio of the tan square was just right, and the caramel itself wasn’t overpoweringly sweet.

To nitpick, there wasn’t enough toast with the mushrooms, there was a hair in the creamy sauce, and they didn’t bring us cake forks for the tan square, so we had to use the mushroom forks. This is still an exceptionally good cafe though, and we are going again next week. Bookings recommended.
