Sin Bin is a sports bar. It’s not pretending to be anything else, which we appreciated. We had options of squash, rugby, harness racing and the greyhounds, plus obviously pool and pokies were available (no darts? Not that we saw anyway). They had their own menu of about 8 options, which is what we selected from, but you could also order from their neighbour restaurant Rizzo’s and eat that in Sin Bin. Note that Rizzo’s has a larger menu, but was a 2, so is a lateral move at best.

The service was friendly, although the wait for the food was a bit longer than expected given we were the only people dining. But we were on a high from somebody complimenting our car as we entered, so we weren’t too bothered.

The food was more considerate than expected for the setting. The tenders were crisp and well cooked, generous in portion, and we appreciate they had cut them up to be bite sized. The sauces were well paired, although the aioli was of poor quality. The sliders were controversial, with The Fee-Rex being more impressed than Business Andy. We appreciated their homemade mince, but there was a general blandness going on. The pickle and the beetroot were appreciated. Less appreciated was the temperature, this was definitely a dining-in-the-puffer-jacket experience.
