We hadn’t expected to run into Yum Cha, but we should have. It’s a classic Sunday lunch, and we’re in the business of eating lunch on Sundays, so that’s on us for not putting 2 and 2 together. But it was with some trepidation that we approached Aries Restaurant, it’s been well over a decade since either of us has had Yum Cha, and we don’t remember it fondly.
This place was absolutely heaving with people, and they were revelling in it. The staff were all super friendly, and the service was uniformly great, the food was more miss than hit, however. We liked the soupy dumplings and the sweet coconut bread. We hated the sweet pork pastries. Everything else was just okay.
Bookings recommended (for Yum Cha anyway).
