Little Whisky

We ate dinner here in May 2026.
Fig, feta, and walnut pizza
Basque cheesecake with cherries and sliced almonds
We really weren’t expecting much from Little Whisky, which is essentially an add on extra thing to Sweet Axe and their upstairs function room, Whisky & Wood. But my god, that pizza. Absolutely fantastic. The cheese was so stringy and cheesy, like those ads you see for Pizza Hutt with the big strings and go “pfft their pizza never strings like that” - this pizza strings like that. Our only complaint is that it came in a box instead of on a board, and had no side plates. Treat us like diners, not students avoiding eating in the rain.
Don’t let our plate complaint imply that the service was inattentive, because it was great. We suspect our server was also the owner, we really liked his chipper mood, he even cut some sick shapes on his way through the room. Unfotunately the cheesecake didn’t quite land. We ordered it because Business Andy loves Basque cheesecakes, in fact he wont shut up about them (do not let him talk about Basque cheesecakes). This one had clearly been made in a big square tin, then cut up into pieces and refrigerated, which kind of ruined the texture, and made it feel a bit too cold. We liked the idea of the cherries and almonds on top, but in the end it was only an okay cheesecake. Nonetheless, we were impressed with Little Whisky’s hustle and think more poeple should visit to enjoy their exceptionally good pizzas.
