Craggy Range

Rating: 4

We ate dinner here in May 2026.

Bread with apple cider butter and honey
Raw lamb and beetroot tart
Confit duck pastry
Roast halloumi
Stuffed quail and potato
Leek and onion tart
Venison rack with black pudding
Brussel sprouts with roasted nuts
Garlic roast potatoes
Chocolate truffles

Sweet heavens Craggy range does nice food. We won’t spend too much time labouring each individual dish. There were a lot of them, the menu changes monthly, but it was 10s across the board. Particular shout out to the halloumi which was a chunky roasted block, which was a new and welcome way of enjoying this cheese for us. Oh and the bread, so soft yet with such a crunchy crust, the butter was really different, this kind of bread makes you wonder if you should be making bread at home, until you realise it would never taste like this.

While the meal was expensive, it was absolutely in line with the quality, and the servings were very generous. We weren’t chungus after this meal, but we certainly didn’t need any more food. In the spirit of nitpicking, the head on the espresso martinis was over-large, and the vodka espresso martini was too sweet. This was no dampener on what was an excellent dining experience.

Bookings recommended.
