Vino Vino Restaurant & Bar

We ate dinner here in May 2026.

Beef burger with coleslaw and chips
Eye fillet with chimichurri, roast potatoes, salad and portobello mushroom

Vino vino serves European fare with some South American influences. the eye fillet was a very nice piece of meat, well cooked, and the mushroom went well. The chimichurri was a non-event, a sprinkle of some green stuff which you could see but not taste, it may as well not have been there. The salad was a time-waste and the potatoes were nice but more like wedges than roast, and there weren’t many to boot.

The steak was a triumph compared to the burger. The patty was remarkable in its dryness and how little it tasted of anything. Definitely no south American flair here. We couldn’t even detect a sauce, there was no cheese, there was certainly no bacon or onion ring or anything exciting. Just a dry patty, two over-crisp buns and a sad pile of salad. The accompanying coleslaw had no flavour, but at least the chips were okay.
