We ate breakfast here in May 2026.
Salted caramel apple crumble waffles
Tofu pad Thai
Baked cheesecake
Considering how busy these guys were, this food came out fast. Great service. Good food. And they had an excellent menu, especially for a brunch menu which can often be really boring. They had all sorts, there was a ramen dish, a curry, eggs benedict, it was really refreshing.
Business Andy, unfortunately, had to go waffles and then pad Thai, in a scandalous inversion of the usual savoury then sweet order of a typical meal. But it was still all enjoyable. Especially the waffles, which were delightfully fluffy, and were sweet but not cloying thanks to some thoughtful mascarpone.
The pad Thai was perfectly good, but it didn’t have something special to elevate it to a higher plane of existence. We treated ourselves to cheesecake from their breath-taking cabinet, shout out to the presentation skills of their pastry chef. Unfortunately, the baked cheesecake was served chilled, which really detracts from the texture and flavour of this dessert which should be served at room temperature. We get that they refrigerated it to preserve the very appealing presentation of cream and berries on the top, but you’ve put the cart before the horse there.
