We are new to Hot Pot dining so Top Kitchen was a bit exciting for us and had an opportunity to set a bar to meet. Turns out, the bar isn’t very high.
It wasn’t all bad - the broth was very nice, so was the chicken, and the homemade chilli and satay sauces were great. The dumplings were middling, and they offered no selection beyond fried versus steamed. We assume what we got was pork, and that’s supported by the gristle, but who really knows. Speaking of gristle, Jesus were the meatballs bad. Worst meat we’ve had in some time. Not only were they gristly, the flavour was vile. How old were they? And they texture was slimy and rubbery. Bleugh.
