We ate dinner here in June 2022.

Khao phad with tofu
Gaeng Panaeng with beef and rice

You may have noticed a pattern when Business Andy and The Fee-Rex visit Thai places. The Fee-Rex almost always orders a tofu pad thai, and Business Andy generally orders a Massaman Curry. Tonight we decided to branch out, and we were not rewarded.

The khao phad, which is fried rice with scant vegetables, was passable. The rice itself tasted a bit oily, but the tofu was top notch and it came with lime which was very welcome. The gaeng panaeng, which is supposed to be a rich peanut flavoured curry, was disgusting. To be more specific, the meat was revolting. Chewy, rubbery, gristly, fatty, bleugh. The sauce was bland. And the waitress waited until the curry was on the table before asking us if we wanted to order rice. At least the food came out quick, but that just meant we found out how expensive it was faster. Fifty dollars for a mediocre fried rice and a gross curry, not cool.
