Chinatown Chinese Restaurant

Rating: 1

We ate dinner here in January 2022.

Buffet

Chinatown Chinese Restaurant offers both a buffet and an a la carte menu. As we walked in the dude said “buffet?” We didn’t know better so we went with it, but when we looked out into the restaurant, we saw a bit of a trend appear. There was a few tables where people had ordered off the menu, and all but one was Asian diners. We suspect that they knew something that we didn’t.

The buffet wasn’t all bad, the stand outs were the vegetarian noodles, the fish bites, and the chicken wings. Standing out for the wrong reasons were the pan fried dumplings, the BBQ pork, and the pork curry. The rest of the things that we tried were middling to bad, the prime example of this category was the under seasoned onion rings.

There was dessert on offer, which was nice, the carrot cake was the best part, the cheesecake, the worst by a considerable margin.
