Carl’s Jr is what Burger King was meant to be. The burgers were reasonable, the onion rings were actually real onion in a batter (shame about having too much salt). The Memphis BBQ was better than the Original Big Angus, with the crispy onion bits being a highlight. However, the patties were on the dry side, the sauce distribution and flavour in the Original Big Angus were poor. However, good construction and good buns were also at play. We appreciated the paper wrapped around the burger, but where the heck were the serviettes! Overall this was the best traditional fast food chain we’ve been to yet, although still not good enough to crack a 3.
