Rumour Has It that this cafe sucks. We can confirm that those rumours are 100% true. Not one element of our meals was enjoyable. The banana smoothie looked appetising when it came out, turns out that was an illusion caused by putting the drink in a pre-chilled glass. The smoothie itself was too warm and full of overpowering banana syrup. The fish was overly fishy fish bites, and the salad soaked in a foul dressing. The chicken burger was a structural nightmare, jenga’d up 5 stories high and impossible to eat as presented. Even after removing some of the chicken and re-skewering it still spilled out everywhere. The chicken was bone dry, the bun generically flavourless. It did contain a hash brown, which we feel is an under-utilised burger element, but that didn’t come close to saving it. Even the chips were offensive. They had about 10% the flavour of a normal chip and tasted like stale nothing. Yes they were unsalted, which didn’t help, but it was more than that. How exactly they achieved this feat we’ll never know, as we sure as hell won’t be going back to find out.
