Beaver & Bear used to be a fairly successful food truck, so most of what’s on the menu is deep fried and delicious.
We tried their specialties, and they did not disappoint. The poutine was so hearty, and had stuffing crumbs on top, apparently this is all the rage in Newfoundland. Frankly, it should be like this everywhere. The chicken wings were probably the highlight, they weren’t too greasy for a start, and they had a warm spice coating that went very well with the blue cheese dip. The fried cauliflower was very well cooked and came with a hot dipping sauce that was actually delicious, and that’s coming from people who don’t particularly like spicy sauces.
