Turkish orange cake
This place had a beautiful cabinet, we could have eaten out of it four times over. We appreciated that the bhaji was a little different, it’s not a common thing to find in a cafe cabinet. The corn fritters were excellent, cranberry relish on the top really elevated them. We found out that the unusual texture of the Turkish orange cake was to be expected, as it was made with almond flour. So while the texture wasn’t our favourite thing about it, given that it was proudly advertised as gluten free we really should have seen that coming. That said, the flavour was great, we would have preferred yoghurt on the side and indeed we asked for it, however the cream that showed up with it was a great accompaniment.
