Indian Love Story is blingin’. Chandeliers, gold trim on everything, glitter in the red and gold textured wallpaper, sparkling glittery storage boxes covering one wall. The waitress may have been blinded by this, as she didn’t seem to notice things like us waiting to order, or plates sitting on tables. We are being a little unfair here, as there was clearly too much work for a single waitress. Both curries were very sweet. While the paneer butter masala did say ‘sweet’ in the description, this was above and beyond. The sugar hit in the ishtew was dominant, unexpected and unwelcome. The beef was chewy, stringy and overdone in that unfortunate way we’ve all had from curries before. The paneer was nice, as were the naans.
