Yatai Japanese Izakaya Restaurant

Rating: 4

We ate dinner here in March 2021.

Chicken karaage
Pork gyoza
Shiitake age
Potato croquettes

Yatai is a little bit out of the way, but it’s worth stepping off the main drag to go here. The plates are shared, sort of like tapas style, and the restaurant recommends two plates per person which seems about right. Everything was just delicious. All the meals apart from the gyoza came with shredded cabbage on the side, which at first we thought was just a garnish, but truly elevated each dish. Our waitress did forget about us for a bit, but that didn’t bring us down, and the service on the whole was friendly. Bookings recommended.
