Poached egg on ciabatta with haloumi and potato hash

We really appreciated Local’s build your own breakfasts, which start with eggs on toast and become as much or as little as you want. We both went for this option, but ended up with fairly different breakfasts. The sausage was really nice, as were the black pudding and the haloumi. The toast and the mushroom were fine, and the potato hash was a bit too dry and a bit too crisp. The eggs were all perfectly cooked but what stood out was that the poached egg was 100% dry. We hate it when someone drops a poached egg onto your toast that’s still sopping wet from the pan, it ruins the toast. Plenty of breakfast joints do this, but not Local. The golden milk latte was unusual but nice. It doesn’t contain any coffee and was instead made with milk tumeric, cinnamon, date puree, and black pepper.
